Speaking of Kindred. There is a second run in the works so if you have not ordered yet here is your chance. This first issue has a poem, project, and some photos from the shy but delighted author of this here blog.

Over on the Rhythm of the Home blog they are having a giveaway for an amazing e-course called A Sense of Place. I really want to take it but I am going to have to wait for the spring session... Liz has assured me she is going to offer it seasonally. Yay. It is going to be a wonderful way to get to know our new home.

Details: Chicken Coop Clean Out...

 

Our neighbor's dad is in his 90's and grew up next door. He could not remember the last time this coop had chicken occupants.

It was damp and dreary when we started fixing it up for our chicks last April.

It was a good feeling to bring it back to it's original purpose. To hold and protect the lives of a giving healthy flock.

Yesterday was spent cleaning out the last remnants of chicken life. One would hope that it would someday house chickens again but the chances are faint...

I miss our birds but find peace in knowing they are with a wonderful loving family.
