Packing the backroom.
Little details of life here.
Nature details with so many memories of the beauty and wonder of this place.
Beauty you can put in your pocket and bring home.
To be examined. Experimented on. Saved. Loved.
In bowls. In jars. Cradled in a very large crab shell. Sitting patiently on the windowsill.
They are fine special little bits.
Now nestled tenderly in a box.
Waiting to emerge again in a place so very different from their origin.
Waiting to share a spot... and make some room for new natural wonders to be discovered in a new land.
Beautiful post. We have little nature treasures scattered all over our home, each one reminding us of days spent together in nature.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim. I love how all the little nature bits have stories to tell.
Deletegorgeous little bits and stories to carry along with you. xo.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful to have them as reminders.
DeleteLove it! How strange and faraway they will seem. I look forward to seeing those pictures in comparison to what you will find in the high deserts.
ReplyDeleteThanks KC. It is going to be so fun to explore nature there and compare!
DeleteLovely, lovely, lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherrie!
DeleteGlad you are bringing some of your memories along, to find a spot in your new home.
ReplyDeleteI loved this. I'll have to share some packing bits when it starts here too. We have a basket of loved bits from all over. Alaska, New York, Massachusetts, Louisiana.... sometimes I wish I had kept them separate. Mostly I'm okay with them being jumbled together. Sort of like our life.... spent here and there and everywhere......
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWith my dad in the military we lived in some fun locations (California mostly & Japan) and I love having bits of nature from there. The kids are fascinated by it too.
I made a shadow box of some nature bits from here. Happy to have that but still love the "jumbled together" bits too! :-)
Looking forward to seeing some of your packing details!
