Inspiration: From the Sea

I have been stitching on the machine and by hand.

Developing some old ideas...

And being inspired by old sights from the sea... seen through fresh eyes.

Sea weed and algae washed ashore...

And some even frosted on our cool morning hike...

I am still in the sketching phase in my attempt to bring the seed heads to life on fabric. But this inspiration from the sea has begun a life on linen...

Once I bring all the bit and pieces together I have some very neat projects to share. I am excited.

Today we are off to the big city for a program at the Art Gallery. Then we are crossing the bridge to play with friends... a perfectly wonderful excuse to stop by the big fabric shop in that part of town. Don't you think?

What has been inspiring you this week?

    1. It is going to be awhile... Holiday making is slowing me down on this one. Oh... the detailed stitches! Neat but slow!

    1. I love it too. I want to get back out there in the early hours... Getting the little people out before the frost melts has proven difficult with the neg. temps lately :)
