Rain Day Schedule

It rained yesterday. It rained all day yesterday.
Rain has officially made it into the "awe inducing rare weather phenomena" category taking the place of seeing the sun for a full day in Nova Scotia. A complete flip in weather patterns.

Some totally new experiences are being had in the weather department here as well. The other night the working man came home to report that it "rained mud" on him that day.
That is definitely a new experience!

Things were already starting to green up around here. It would be no small stretch to think this rain is going to give everything a kick in the pants to really get spring off to a roaring start. Yay!

The kids took total advantage of "rainy day schedule" to do some extra art projects, help make fruit and nut bars to munch, and watch this. I did lots of writing, some sketching, a few rows of knitting, and a bit of rainy day picture taking.

No one was super interested in heading out to puddle jump with me! But we read a bit more of this,
played a cool new math game, which the little man made up, and generally snuggled up to keep warm and cozy while we watched the rain come down.

What is your favorite way to spend a rainy day?

P.S. Tomorrow I will be back with another Make and Listen Along post. Come join in the fun and share your makings and listenings!

  1. why inside knitting of course! I think it would be strange to do a 180 degree flop in weather patterns. I don't particularly like rainy days because my hair will frizz out but I do appreciate the greenery it provides.

  5. How lovely! It will get super green very vast now that it has rained. Favorite rainy day activity....when we arrived here there it rained for a week straight. We had nothing to do but go out and walk in it. So we did. I think walking in the rain is really lovely. Light gentile rain without wind of course! :)
