Nature Saves...

These last few weeks have been rough. We were just getting into a bit of a rhythm after the move and some schedule changes have thrown us all for a big loop. Yesterday it came to a head and there were some not-so-happy moments. On the way home I pulled into the nature center and announced we were going for a walk along the river.

It was just the medicine we needed.

New life, spectacular clouds, animal tracks to investigate in the deep riverside mud, new birds to spot, space to run...

Nature saves the day once again!

How do you reset and recharge?

  1. you are a smart woman. :) sometimes we just need to stop or slow down. for me it's yoga, meditation or a good book. sometimes it's just organizing something that's been sitting in a pile. mostly, it's bare feet on earth.

  2. Perfect title. Makes me wish I had it on a bumper sticker. Glad you were able to find some natural relief and hoping things settle back into a nice pattern soon. I especially love the bridge shot. Happy Friday!

  3. What a smart cookie you are! That was the perfect choice.
I have two go-to recharge places...
Like you, some time outside in my backyard or the Big Thicket for a hike.
Or I throw myself in a book for a while.

    1. Yes. Nature and Books. The library is the other place that calms the storm around here.

  7. Maybe not a good walk at this moment of our life. Moving takes energy! It always helps me with a good cup of tea and read a book that I have set aside for a little while. Go back to my fabric box and maybe full few prints out for a smaller project. It seems like " work, but it is a good way to recharge myself. :) Happy Mother's Day, my friend~ I love come here to read your story and your photos are just amazing.. :) xc

    1. Thanks Chase!
Yes, moving does take a lot of energy! It sounds like you are making great progress on packing though.
Heading to the fabric box is another fun way to relax. Not work for me either! My sewing machine was one of the last things I packed for our move. I am sure it will be the same for you! ;-)
