Make & Listen Along

~ On Thursdays I will post what I have been making and listening to as creations grow.
If so inclined post, on your blog or flickr, about what you have been making (on your own or with little hands by your side) and listening to while you create. It can be new music, flash backs, a song or a whole album... whatever you like. You can be stitching with needle & thread, yarn, paper crafting, painting, cooking... and beyond. Share what you are making and the tunes that are fueling your creativity. Then come back to my Thursday Make & Listen Along post and leave a link in the comments so we can be inspired right along with you! ~

I can't believe it has been a week since I posted here. Time really has been flying by and things have been a bit crazy and a bit busy. But there has been time for a little making along the way.

We have started gathering supplies for a few "Made in New Mexico" boxes we are giving for the holidays.

I am trying to finish up some eyeglass cases I started awhile back.

And the batiks have come back out to play.

I am working on some more seaweed inspired bookmarks.

And of course there has been some watercolor painting and plenty of time spent on the floor building Lego, which makes a certain little man insanely happy!

No more progress on my socks, but I suspect there will be a few cold nights of knitting by the fire coming up in the next week.

The music has been quiet around here. We have heard some Christmas music out in the world but I always hold off until Dec. 1st.

The Steller's Jays and the Canada geese have been keeping us entertained as we listen to them call and honk overhead.

Your turn.
Please share what you have been making and the tunes on your playlist. And don't forget to leave a link to your post if you played along so others can visit your Make and Listen posts!

  1. I have mostly been making the next issue of Art Together so it's ready to go the first week of December. My 9yo is currently making a Christmas-themed game. :-) We've been listening to Christmas music--I usually try to stem the Christmas stuff until after my oldest's December 1 birthday, but I'm not putting up an argument this year. Let's be jolly. We kind of need it.

  4. I love that Batik work! Your sewing is just so lovely to look at. This week I am working between stuff for my shop, solstice presents for the girls and D's sweater that I started in January that I swore I would finish by the time it got cold.

  5. It's so nice to see the seaweed come out again! They are so lovely and fun! ...and I love seeing all of the other sewing projects you have on the go.

Since you reminded me the photography is creating I thought this time I'd link to my art sight as I have been doing much creating there - silly me. :)
