We're Moving to New Mexico

The clock is officially ticking for our time in Nova Scotia. Three weeks and counting.

It has been a wonderful experience living here for the past five years. We have learned so much about the culture, history, and natural wonders of this beautiful place. We have met amazingly nice people and made wonderful friends. But alas this chapter is coming to a close and we are excited to begin a new chapter in our journey.

There is much excitement around here about new possibilities. New experiences. New culture. New history to learn. New environments to explore. Along with all of that we are going to be a whole lot closer to my family, which I am over-the-moon excited about.

One of the things we have enjoyed about living here is fully living in the seasons. Happily we are moving to the high desert of NM so we will still get to enjoy the four seasons!

So my current addiction to photographing snowflakes is not because I fear never seeing them again... It is just that they are just so pretty... and I am sorely in need of pretty distraction at the moment.

I have also been photographing puffy clouds if they happen by as well...

And more snow when that comes again after the clouds move in...

On a sad note. The up coming move necessitated a new home for our chickens. They found a wonderful new home with some sweet neighbors who live on the island nearby. This weekend some tears were shed as the coop was quite on their departure.

But that means things are moving forward... You would think that with three weeks to go I would be packing but I have only done a little giving away and some list making. The going through things will start this week and some packing will come after that... we really don't have a lot of "stuff" that we don't use. That means packing is a bit tricky and last minute. It really won't take long... She said with three weeks to go...

More details about trip planning and a few pleas for travel ideas will be coming up soon. Some sharing of current making too if I get the chance.

I just had to come on out with the news.

There are changes afoot...
