List of Lovin'

~ Kids quizzing each other about the U.S. Presidents over their afternoon snack.
~ Lovely friends sharing makings and music with me.
~ My New Roots. So much to love there I don't know where to start. Totally inspiring! Thanks to Sherrie for the link.

~ Lotion ideas from twitter friends. Thanks friends! Meryl shared Kim's recipe for Body Butter and it sounds wonderful. I am going to try it as soon as I can get some beeswax.
~ Moving forward on a very cool collaboration. Yay!
~ Kindred, another very cool collaboration, coming out with Issue Two: Sow (I have a sweet little project in there to share too!) And the amazing cover by Celina Wyss. Just stunning.
~ Kiddo loving Tiny Fractions app on the iPad.
~ Other kiddo lovin' Web Rangers program on the National Parks Web site. She is hooked on the NP Jr. Ranger programs. Already has a list of parks we need to visit in the four corners region... and beyond!
~Mr. Wilbur Stinky the stink bug and all the research he inspired.

~ Family T-ball practice in the park down the street.
~ Building words with Quiddler. Thanks K for gifting us this great little game... which we sometimes play by our own rules!

~ The wrap skirt in Shape Shape 2. It's on the cover. So cute. Another making on my list. I will be needing some warmer weather clothes. No?
~ Kiddos running and jumping around the house yelling, "It's raining! It's raining!" They never did that in NS when it rained... I guess they do miss the rainy weather a bit.
~ The pretty snow falling down outside as I type...

What have you been lovin' lately?

    1. You are too sweet Kim!
Those sound like perfect vacation things to love.
Can't wait to make the body butter. I will let you know how it comes out.

  3. My kiddos dance in the rain too. I think it happens when you live in the Southwest. You start to celebrate the unusual. Love your lists.

    1. So true. In Nova Sctoia I used to call the kids to the window to watch when the sun would peek out. Funny how things change!

  4. Ha! No, there's no cheering for the rain here. :) Glad you like the site- there is all kinds of good stuff there! I've been making lotion bars this winter; equal parts beeswax, cocoa butter, and coconut oil. It's wonderful! I love the butter recipe, too. The more oils the better! :) I'm enjoying all of your stories from your new home.

Lotion bars sound great. My little man might like that.

  5. I make a very similar body lotion - I use almond oil as it's nice and non-greasy. I also like to steep some tea in the water beforehand; my favourite is chai, and then some drops of vanilla essential oil. Makes it smell oh so good.

  6. Our favorite word game is Upwords (but the kids don't like to play with us). I'd never heard of Quiddler, but now I have to have it! A word game with beautiful cards? Sold!

    1. I will have to check out Upwords. Quiddler is beautiful. It is a short word game but that can be part of the fun even for adults... who don't want to put too much thought into games like scrabble at the moment. ;-)
