Lovin'

This week I have been lovin'...

~Sunset on the porch swing... while watching the girl practice her balance with barefeet on the ridged bricks lining the path (the ones her dad asked her not to step on, but mom lets her because balance practice is good stuff!)

~ Seedlings.

~A sweet friend playing along with the Make & Listen along and those of you who shared in the comments. Thank you!

~The Lost Ladybug Project.

~Routines (I will share more about this soon.)

~Sewing projects in the works. Well, lots of cutting and ironing... sewing coming soon!

~Watching Annie's husband get matched on match day, via the wonders of live stream and this amazing World Wide Web... and learning they are moving to Cambridge. Yay! (Even though I would have loved for her to make her way back to the west!)

~Having the kids learn what a strange world Medical School can be while watching the above mentioned match.

~Talking about creative nonfiction on Twitter and getting great advice from a few friends! It felt like I was back is college with a couple of awesome advisers by my side. Love.

~Patricia's first three posts about becoming a writing mentor for your child. Finally got to sit down and read all three last night. So. So. Good. Highly recommend even if you don't homeschool.

Looking forward to a fun filled, but relaxed weekend... wishing you the same.

What have you been lovin'?

  1. Yay! I'm so glad that you all were able to watch. Of course, M. chickened out at the last minute and wouldn't go on stage so she and I had to watch from the sidelines. But it was so fun knowing that all my friends out there were watching too!

  2. Sounds like a pretty great week. I will have to look into the Lost Lady Bug project a little more, our home is a magnet for lady bugs, we have a ton, inside and out. Thanks for the link.

Loved Patricia's posts, feeling so grateful to have some wonderful mamas (you included) to learn from on my homeschooling journey :)

    Enjoy your weekend.

  3. You've linked to the Lost Ladybug Project before, and I've been meaning to thank you for it ever since. It has become an obsession for me and my youngest. We find them everywhere -- and take their pictures!

    Have a lovely weekend!
    Cheers,
    Erin
