Blogger Swap

It is getting exceptionally nutty around these parts but I wanted to pop in really quick to share what I sent off for the blogger swap Amanda, over at Sweet Potato Claire, was so kind to organize!

I finally managed to make it to the post to get the package in the mail this week, but funny enough it did not have far to travel because my match lives just across the boarder in Colorado. Too bad we were not going to be here long enough to arrange delivery in person!

I noticed from her blog that they are book lovers so I did add a knitted bookmark to what you see above.

This batik bookmark was inspired by the sea and the seaweed of Nova Scotia.

I had to include this set of bunny coasters. Just enough fabric for a set of 6! Yay!

And a knitted cuff with sweet little vintage button.

All wrapped up in some bright, happy packaging!

I don't know who will be sending a box to me, but it will hopefully be waiting for me in Maine when we arrive at my in-laws house in a few weeks. Exciting all around!

Thanks, Amanda, for organizing the swap.

Happy weekend!

  1. What a lovely package you put together. This swap is so much fun! I love the mystery of not knowing who got our name :)

    1. Kim, I am so glad to hear you say you like the mystery of it... I'd considered doing it more as an exchange with swap partners, but this just seemed like more fun to me!

  3. I remember those seaweed bookmarks. They are so lovely and the batik material is just right for such sea plants. Whoever gets your package will be thrilled indeed by all the thoughtful making received!

Having fun hearing about (and being involved in some) these swaps! I've been thinking of doing an art/craft swap as being inspired by all this giving!

Impressed you were able to do a post amidst all you have on your plate. Happy travels and see you soon! xx

  5. Hello Dawn! Oh my goodness, I cannot believe how close you were to me!!! Thank you so much for the sweet and lovely package, the whole family was thrilled to open our pretty little packages. Everything was wonderful, and I must say, your sewing skills are exceptional (top-stitching on the coasters! and I have a fairly particular eye when it comes to sewing…)
The bookmarks will be very handy indeed!
    Thank you so very much!
    Renee :)
