Make & Listen Along: Skirts n' Things

~ On Thursdays I will post what I have been making and listening to as creations grow.
If so inclined post, on your blog or flickr, about what you have been making (on your own or with little hands by your side) and listening to while you create. It can be new music, flash backs, a song or a whole album... whatever you like. You can be stitching with needle & thread, yarn, paper crafting, painting, cooking... and beyond. Share what you are making and the tunes that are fueling your creativity. Then come back to my Thursday Make & Listen Along post and leave a link in the comments so we can be inspired right along with you! ~

We had a wonderful Birthday celebration for the big ten year old on Sunday and she was happy to have her grandparents in town from Maine for the weekend.

The rest of the week has been... well, not super fun. And to top it off my little guy woke not feeling well. A perfect punctuation mark for this week.

In the midst of it all I did manage to do a bit of sewing, mostly because my brain has not been functioning well enough to do much writing. I made my girl three skirts before her birthday using this simple pattern, thanks again to Amy for the link!

Then I made the casing for her frog skirt to finish to conversion of that sweet little dress my mom made into a long and super cute skirt.

I also finished up a shirt skirt that I had started some time ago...

Pulling out some more half finished projects, I started work on some tending cases in the works...

Then I made a photo of my favorite little scissors because they are pretty and I needed to pause and take in some simple and pretty!

I loaded some Rob Thomas to the iPad but other than that things have been a bit quiet here. More and more flocks a geese are announcing their arrival and it is always a treat to hear them honking as they fly along the bluffs out in the back yard.

What have you been making?
What is on your play list?
Please do share!
