Make & Listen Along

~ On Thursdays I will post what I have been making and listening to as creations grow.
If so inclined post, on your blog or flickr, about what you have been making (on your own or with little hands by your side) and listening to while you create. It can be new music, flash backs, a song or a whole album... whatever you like. You can be stitching with needle & thread, yarn, paper crafting, painting, cooking... and beyond. Share what you are making and the tunes that are fueling your creativity. Then come back to my Thursday Make & Listen Along post and leave a link in the comments so we can be inspired right along with you! ~

I have a long list of sewing projects, but the machine has been quiet this week. And the kids have been moving forward on some fun projects that they will, hopefully, let me share soon! But that is not to say that we have not be busy with some other types of making!

We have also been working on putting together a box of nature goodies for the Nature Exchange.

A few more birds for the Pop-Up Birder's Life List! The kids are absolutely loving this project!

"One row at a time." That is my motto with my leg warmers. Maybe I will be able to wear them by mid-winter!

And the little man finally got his very own, perfect size for him, pocket knife. He beams with pride and excitement when he shows me the progress he is making with whittling his favorite stick. (He has a pile of favorite sticks in the backyard.) Right now he is in the scraping bark phase of whittling. I am thinking next week he will be ready for some toy making. We love this book for lots of homemade toy making ideas.

The listening has been pretty quiet around here. I started this book, and while it is good, I don't know if I will finish it before it needs to be returned. It has been nice to sit in the quiet and listen to the kids play, the geese honk, and the wind rustle through the trees.

Your turn.
Please share what you have been making and the tunes on your playlist. And don't forget to leave a link to your post if you played along so others can visit your Make and Listen posts!

  6. Is he a lefty? I have a lefty too. ;)

I'm too busy trying to get the things done (and haven't yet) but hopefully will have progress to report soon. I lost a whole evening to catching up on sleep this week, too. Hate it when that happens.

    1. Yes! He is a lefty! Only one is our little family, but his grandmother and great-grandfather are lefties!
I think I need to loose an evening catching up on sleep! ;-)
